Sgt. Ricardo MICHAEL Preston

Sergeant Ricardo M. Preston died of apparent heart failure while participating in a SWAT exercise on August 11, 1988.

Sergeant Preston was one of the original members of the Narcotics and Vice Unit. He was known to be an outstanding undercover officer and had a bright future with the Force had he survived.

He was 37 years old and had 14 years of U. S. Park Police service.

Sgt. Preston's name has been engraved on Panel 55, East 7 of the National Law Enforcement Officer Memorial.
